William Robert was born in 1827. He passed away in 1907. [1]
William Robert was born in 1827. When the boy was just a toddler, his father died during a strength endurance contest at a fair. He attempted to lift a sack of grain with his teeth. He burst a blood vessel in his brain and died. Son William Robert was only a toddler. His mother Mary Ann remarried a Thompson in 1833. They had a number of other children, half siblings to William Robert. William Robert was raised as a full member of the Thompson household. So much so that In the Antrim 1851 census, he was referred to as William Robert Thompson.
