She married Samuel Soper in Boston, Massachusetts on October 25, 1708 by Mr. Benjamin Wadsworth,[3] for whom Wadsworth House, the second oldest building in at Harvard, is named.[4]
Note: The Lyon Memorial states the marriage record: "Samuel Soper, m. Mary Lyon, Oct. 28 1708, may refer to her widowed mother Mary.
Apparently she had a sister of the same name, Mary Lyon (1683-1683), who was born and died in 1683.
