Birth: Jane was born c.1873: To Thomas and Annie (Holmes) Machin, in Timaru, New Zealand. ^{[citation needed]}

Marriage: Jane [at the age of 26] married David Murray Crerar (b.c.1874 ^[1] [Son of Alexander and Margaret (Duncan) Crerar. ] .

David is the brother of William [then married to Jane’s sister Amelia (Machin) Crerar (b.1861). [Like his brother, David is also recorded as a plumber, [1909 Jane & David are living at 9 Moore Street South Yarra]--].

Children: Jane and David are to have at least two children:

A daughter ‘May’ , in 1900 ^[2] [who dies the same year ^[3] ], and

A son ‘David Charles’ in 1902, ^[4].

Research note: It is on-recorded that Jane filed a petition for divorce, in June 1921 [per: case # 237].

Death: Tragically Jane was to die in 1932, ^[5], as the result of a motor vehicle accident ...

Burial: She was buried on June 6th 1932 at St Kilda general cemetery [Victoria, Australia.] Church of England, Monumental, Compartment 'B' Grave '0393A' [add ref: 14245 Age 59]. [A Monumental-Grave shared with husband 'David-Murray' and son 'David Charles' ].
