Biography

Lucy Madison was born about 1771 in Virginia. She was the daughter of John Madison and Agatha Jane Strother.

Lucy married William Lewis about 1788.^[1][2][3] (The Gen. Andrew Lewis family and the John Madison family were closely linked, with three children from each family marrying one another: Ann Lewis married Rowland Madison, William Lewis married Lucy Madison, and Andrew Lewis Jr. married Elizabeth Strother Madison).
