Rosa Madonia (“Madunia”) is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Sigismondo Madonia and Anna Cappuleri, who married in 1724. I estimate Rosa is born the year after her parents marry, making her seventeen when she marries. She is named after her maternal grandmother.
Her father has died by 1731, when her mother remarries.
Rosa marries Baldassare Sangiorgi, son of Leonardo Sangiorgi and Angela, on 11 November 1742.[1]
Rosa and Baldassare have at least four children: Sigismondo (c. 1750), Calogero (c. 1752), Anna Maria (c. 1754), and Bernardo (c. 1760).
Sigismonda marries Caterina Caronia on 10 June 1770.[2]
Anna Maria marries Antonino Palazzo on 16 January 1774.[3]
Calogero marries Caterina Ferro on 11 June 1775 in Corleone. This record calls his mother Rosa Palazzo.[4] Rosa's mother married four times, and her younger siblings are Palazzos.
Bernardo marries Anna Maria Ciavarello on 3 April 1780. His father has died by this time.[5]
