He was born in either Frederick County, Virginia or Shenandoah County, Virginia.[citation needed]
According to his Find-a-Grave memorial, he was buried on his farm. There are no sources cited on his memorial, and there is no photo of a grave marker. Additionally, this memorial indicates that he was living in Monroe County, West Virginia when he died, but the original (unsourced) information on this profile indicated that he lived in Alleghaney [sic], Virginia. The memorial also lists the following children:[1]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with David by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with David:
Maggard-1511 and Maggard-997 appear to represent the same person because: The information given on his Find-a-Grave memorial lists his wife as Susanna Long and both Adam and Susannah as children.
