Biography
Joyce was born in 1910. She was the illegitimate daughter of Lillian Mahoney. Joyce's mother married Joseph Gray when Joyce was 3 years old but Joyce retained her Mahoney surname throughout her life, apparently adopting it as her middle name after marriage. She married Edward Berger in 1931. She passed away in 1991.
