Biography
Jonas Main was born 1 Apr 1788, the second child of Sarah (Burdick) Main (1763-abt.1837) and Reuben Peckham Main (1763-1842). The location of his birth probably was in Connecticut, although his birth family did migrate to Guilderland (Albany area), New York.
He married Lydia Porter. Their children were:
- Frances (Main) Aspinwall (1812-1891), m. Rev. Aspinwall
- Amanda Main (abt.1818-1853)
- Mortimer P. Main (abt.1819-1856), m. Susan Drummond.
Jonas Main died 27 Aug 1823 in or near Henderson, New York.
