Alice "Marie" Mansell Nowell was born 8 Nov. 1921 to David Petway Mansell and Mertie Ollie Whitaker Mansell in Putnam Co., TN. She married Delbert Sidney Nowell on 26 May 1945 at Ridgedale Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Hamilton county, Tennessee, USA. She was a teacher in the Chattanooga City Oak Ridge, and Metro Nashville School Systems. She is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, USA. Her obituary was in the "Tri-City Reporter", newspaper of Dyer, TN., on 10 Apr 2002.
