Lydia Mansfield, born 16 September 1739 at Lynn, Massachusetts, was a daughter of Daniel and Lydia (Newhall) Mansfield, and grand-daughter of Andrew and Sarah (Breed) Mansfield, and of Elisha and Jane (Breed) Newhall.
Lydia and Allen Breed filed their marriage banns 26 November 1766 at Lynn [1]. They married January 15, 1767 at Lynnfield [2], officiated by Rev. Benjamin Adams, then went to New Ipswich, New Hampshire, to live.
Seven children are documented from this marriage [3]:
Lydia (Mansfield) Breed, died in Rindge, N.H. on Aug. 31, 1828. Her grave is in Smithville Cemetery, New Ipswich Center, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, adjoining that of her husband [4].
