Sir John Markham (b. by 1486 -d. 1559) of Allerton, Notts.^[2]

John is the only son of the outlaw Sir John Markham of Cotham and Alice Skipwith (b. c. 1444).^[4] His mother was the daughter of Sir William Skipwith of Ormsby, Lincs.^[5][6]

He had three wives: Anne Neville; Margery Longford; and Anne Strelley. Presumably in that order.^[7]

Anne Neville b. c 1490:^[6] about 1510 John Markham married Anne Neville, d. & h. of Sir George Neville and Mary FitzLewis. They had 2 sons.^[5][8] They were the parents of:^[8]
