Biography
Ida raised 8 children from her garden, feedsacks and hand me downs. A devout Christian, her Bible was always by her bed. Throughout the Great Depression she mended socks, created bib overalls, dresses and aprons from fabric scraps and feedsacks, as well as feeding from her huge garden the "little Texas" neighborhood in Stanberry.
