Private Abraham Martin served with 10th North Carolina Regiment, Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Abraham Martin born about 1730 in Lunenburg County Virginia. He and his wife Charity were married about 1760.

Abraham was in the 10th North Carolina regiment during the American Revolution. Served at Brandywine and Germantown. Served under Col. Abraham Shepard. [1]

Abraham and Charity settled in Rockingham County North Carolina but had connections to Stokes County North Carolina and Patrick County Virginia.

Abraham's will was made 1811 in Stokes County and probated there in 1815.

Abraham is believed to be buried in the Martin/Joyce cemetery at Ayersville, Rockingham County, North Carolina.
