Biography

A descendant of George Martin of Salisbury, Mass.

William Martin, son of Ebenezer Martin and Jerusha Durkee, was born in Windham, Windham County, Connecticut, on 11 March 1736.[1]

William Martin of Woodstock, Connecticut, married Elizabeth Crawford (1739-1815) of Union, Connecticut, on 12 May 1760.[2]

Martin-24284 and Martin-31911 are not ready to be merged because: It's very likely that these are two different men, with different death dates, who have been conflated.

Profiles William Martin (Martin-31911) and William Martin (Martin-24284) both claim the same parents and the same birth record. The rest of the biographies diverge. Neither profile presents convincing evidence. The gravestone shown on Martin-31911 states that the deceased was in his 87th year, which is consistent with a birth date of about 1732, not 1736.
