Emigrated with the whole family to Australia on SS Waroonga arriving in Brisbane on 2 Oct 1885 where he settled to raise his family. ^[3]

He passed away in 1886 ^[4] and was buried on 7 March 1886 at the Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. ^[5]
