His second wife was 21 years younger than he was. Her name was Flora Rogers. Flora's father and Nancy were first cousins. Richard and Flora do not appear to have had any children together.[3][4]
Dick and both of his wives were descendants of the Ludovic Grant lineage of Cherokees. His first wife was also his third cousin and his second wife was a third cousin once removed. Nancy and Flora, then were first cousins once removed to each other.
Dick and Flora ran a store together near Pensacola, Oklahoma until they decided to separate. She then ran the store alone. He shot and killed her and himself in 1911.[5] He is buried with his first wife at Spavinaw Cemetery in Oklahoma. [6] Flora is buried at Adair Cemetery in Mayes County, Oklahoma.
Research Notes
Wikitree is displaying a conflicting dates error upon saving. While other family members remain to be added and sourced, it appears that his father may have had multiple partners giving birth concurrently. Richard and Alexander have different mothers. Please ignore the error for now.
