Research Notes
Melatiah Mason lived over 100 years, but I have found 3 death dates. Connecticut, Deaths and Burials Index, 1650-1934 has 28 Dec 1831. His great-grandson, Hon. Ira Moore Barton has 27 Dec 1831 in his NEHGR article Vol 18 (1864) pages 247-254 (he was 34 when Melatiah died). Connecticut Marriages and Deaths, 1792-1837 has 23 Jan 1832, however this record is index only, and the primary record where this is located needs to be found..
↑ 100th birthday of Melatiah Mason, National Aegis, Worcester, Mass. May 5, 1830 - this source was later noted in error, as it was a year too early.
Massachusetts Vital Records to 1850 provide birth and marriage dates and locations.
