Biography

When Samuel Mather was born on January 23, 1682, in Dorchester, Massachusetts, his father, Richard Mather, was 28 and his mother, Catherine Wise, was 23. He married Deborah Champion on July 12, 1712, in Lyme, Connecticut. He died on July 17, 1725, in Lyme, Connecticut, at the age of 43, and was buried in Old Lyme, Connecticut.
