Biography
13 October 1842 Nancy Maxey was born in Lawrence County, TN. to parents Peter and Sarah Maxey who were both born in TN.[1]
11 Oct 1850 Nancy Maxey was 7 years of age and living in District 2 Alexander, Cannon, Tennessee, USA with her parents Peter Maxey 37 and Sarah Maxey 31and her siblings William Maxey 12, Daniel Maxey 10, Lewis Maxey 4. Census show everyone in her family at this time was born in Tennessee.[2]
4 July 1860 Nancy Maxey was 16 years old and living in Cannon, TN. with her parents Peter Maxey 45 and Sarah Maxey 42 and siblings William 22, Daniel 19, Louis 13, Mary 10 and Peter 2. Census shows she can read and the Post Office is Woodbury.[3]
7 Dec 1865 Nancy Maxey married David M Prater in Cannon, TN.[4]
10 Jun 1870, Nancy 25 was living with her husband David M Prater 26 in Newton Township, Shannon county, Missouri. Census shows neither can read or write and Eminence Post Office[5][6]
12 July 1926 Nancy Maxey passed away in Dent Township, Iron County, MO.[7]
