Karenhappuck "Caron" H. Maxey was born about 1800, in Franklin Co, VA. Her mother died when she was just a small child and her father died when she was only 10 years old. She was named in her father's will, which was signed June 4, 1810, to receive an equal part of the remainder of her father's estate. She was also to receive a feather bed and furniture "to make daughter Kerrenhappuck equal to the rest of my daughters". Caron married Thomas Fambrough on Nov 8, 1816, in Oglethorpe Co, GA. Thomas was born about 1790, in Virginia. (Note: He may have been the son of Thomas Fambrough (born 1747, VA; died July 23, 1827, Greene Co, GA) and Sarah Walden (born Dec 10, 1758, VA; died 1816, Oglethorpe Co, GA). Thomas, Sr. and Sarah appear in Halifax Co, VA in 1782 and in Oglethorpe Co, GA in 1800. Thomas, Sr. appears on the 1820 Oglethorpe Co census.) In 1823, Thomas, Jr. purchased 194 acres of land on Falling Creek in Oglethorpe Co from his brother-in-law, Hail Maxey. Thomas, Jr. and Caron moved to Greene Co, GA prior to 1830. They appear on the 1830 and 1840 Greene Co, GA census.
