Obituary for Leah Lavone O'Neal March 17, 1921 - March 21, 2016

Leah Lavone O’Neal, 95, of Laurel, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2016. She spent the last five years in Madison with her daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016, at Memory Chapel with burial to follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Dr. Randy Turner will officiate.

Mrs. O’Neal loved the Lord and serving him. She loved people and caring for others; and she enjoyed flowers and gardening. She will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer O’Neal; parents, Wilson and Lillie Mayfield; and brother, Joe L. Mayfield.

Survivors include her daughter, Annette O’Neal of Madison; one sister, Dorothy Kennedy (Glen) of Magee; and nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Memory Chapel. ^[2]
