Biography

William Maynard was born about 1745 in the Province of North Carolina in the area which eventually became Johnston County and then Wake County.[1] He was the son of William Maynard and Agatha Damron. He passed away about 1833. [2]

It is unlikely William's son William was the son of Agatha Dameron because the son William married Agatha Dameron's sister Elizabeth Dameron and it is unlikely that he married his aunt. Consequently, Agatha Dameron was not the mother of William's son William. His mother's name was Frances. This suggests the father William was previously married to another woman before he was married to Aggie who was referred to as his "last wife" in his will which indicates he was married previously to someone else before he married Aggie. Many sources have identified Aggie as Agatha Owl who was previously married to Moses Dameron.

Maynard-2977 and Maynard-334 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents, same vital dates within reason. Same name. Both married to Elizabeth although surnames vary. The only substantial difference is place of death.

Maynard-334 and Maynard-4088 appear to represent the same person because: Looked like someone was struggling with this profile and dropped out. Genealogy can be difficult at times. With what info they have. I believe it could be a match to get rid of the extra profile, since it is an orphan profile.
