No known parents have been discovered. Family tradition stated that Thomas BURCHETT may have been the brother of Benjamin BURCHETT who married Kathy VAUGHN in 1807 and Nancy LEWIS in 1821; Drury BURCHETT who married Elizabeth McCOWAN in 1816; and Armstead BURCHETT who married Elizabeth BUTLER in 1820.^[12]
