Biography

Birth and Parents

Rachel Maynard was born January 21, 1743, accordiong to the parish register of St. Margaret's Westminster. [1] This was on the "old style" calendar, equivalent to 21 January 1744 of today's calendar.

The parents of Rachel Maynard were Henry Maynard and Larady his wife, according to the birth entry in the parish register. The samew source states the marriage of Henr3y Maynard to Larady Hammond, as of May 7, 1741. Rachel was the second child and eldest dsaughter. [2]
