• This Andrew McClelland is said to have been born January 1747/1748, various dates have been proposed in various forums. He is said to have been born in Whitemarsh, Baden County, North Carolina. He and his wife Rebecah were married prior to 1781 and her maiden name is said to be Robinson. None of this information can be sourced. A timeline of his life can be constructed from the following information:
• 1. He received a NC Land grant of 100 acres entered on 22 Aug 1778 and issued 11 Nov 1779 in Bladen Co NC.
• 2. He 1st appears in Russell County, Virginia on the 1802 Personal Property Tax List as Andrew McClannan. Also A John McClannan is on this census.
• 3. He appears in Russell Co VA on the 1803 Personal Property Tax List as Andrew McClellan (also appearing is John McClellan and George McClellan.
• 4. He also appears on the 1804 Russell Co VA Pers. Prop. Tax List.
• 5. His Last Will and Testament was signed by him 17 May 1819 and is filed in Scott County, Virginia. His part of Russell Co VA became Scott Co VA 24 Nov 1814). The following persons were named in that Last Will and Testament:
