Sarah was born in 1767. She was the daughter of James McCarty.

- This profile had been attached as daughter of Darby. He and his wife Hannah have a daughter named Sarah - she was not born in 1766. A McCarty researcher provided the following about this Sarah:
- ". . . her father is James McCarty the oldest child of Darby and Hannah McCarty. Darby gave his consent for his granddaughter, Sarah, to marry Thomas North. Sarah was born 29 October 1767, her date of birth can be seen in the McCarty Bible, but not her name."
