Margaret is the child of John McClain and Phillippina Glenn. "Margaret McClain, No Record of Birth. Probably died by drowning in Enoree River, S.C. with Mother Piney Glenn McClain., see *letter of Ruby Tucker Geupel to R. L. McClain.

• Letter included with the CHILDREN OF JOHN MCCLAIN AND PINEY GLENN by Robert Lee McClain. Robert contacted, by letters, family members to request genealogical information on each branch of the family. This letter, undated, is from a distant cousin.

Ruby Tucker Guepel. She had received a letter from a S.C. Genealogist, unnamed, who was hired by a new client "on Park name". This client stated that one of her ancestors was the sister of Phillippina Glenn McClain.

A copy of the typed Genealogy of John McClain and Piney Glen, including a copy of this letter and a copy of the CHILDREN OF JOHN MCCLAIN AND PINEY GLENN, is in the hands of LaJuan Ward Lee, third great-grandchild of John McClain and Phillippina "Piney" Glenn McClain.
