James lived the whole of his life as a farmer in Woodstock, Connecticut.[9] He was very involved with many of Woodstock's interests including:
1802: With his father, Samuel McClellan, and eldest brother, John (DOB 04 Jan 1767), and some other people were intrumental in establishing the Woodstock Academy, which is still in operation in 2017, in spite of some rough starts and stops along the way.[1][10]
Death
James died 13 Feb 1837 and is buried in the Woodstock Hill Cemetery in Woodstock, Connecticut.[11]

McLellan-297 and McClellan-1465 appear to represent the same person because: I thought McLellan-297 was an entirely different person, but someone with more knowledge than me says it's not just that the last name was spelled wrong. The correct spelling is McClellan so McLellan-197 needs to go into McClellan-1465, The bio for McClellan-1465 is complete except for a little bit of tweaking.
