Biography

NOTE: Daughter, Sophia Penelope McClendon Laseter's 1880 Census record shows that her father (Thomas McClendon, Jr) and mother were both born in North Carolina. Thomas's presumed grandfather Francis McClendon was born 1679 in Ross & Cromarty, Scotland.

Thomas was born in 1730 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. He was the son of Francis McClendon.[1]

Event: Between 1732 and 1776 in North Carolina. Arrival[2]

In the 1790 census Thomas (age about 60) was living in Montgomery, North Carolina, United States.[3]

Thomas died at the age of about 68 in 1798 in Henry, Georgia.[1]
