Captain Benjamin McConnell

"Benjamin McConnell, Jr., b. Long Island, N.Y., May 18, 1779. m. in Weymouth, N.S., Catherine, daughter of Deacon David Shook, 1805, and emigrated to Malahide, Ont., 1834. They were a happy Christian couple. He d. June 30, 1859; she d. Aug. 21, 1856, age 72."[1]
