Margaret[1] was born in 1753 in Cumberland (later Somerset) County, Pennsylvania, the third of six children and the older of two daughters of Abraham and Elizabeth Unknown McConnell.
They moved, probably after ca 1765 to Fayette County, Pennsylvania[2] and c1790 they moved from York County, Pennsylvania to Botetourt County, Virginia, as did oldest brother, William, sister, Margaret, brother, John and youngest brother, Moses.[1]
When she was in her thirties, about 1789, she married Nicholas Henshaw (1763-23 February 1821) in Redstone Twp, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.[3]
Margaret died in her fifties, on 14 February 1810 in Laurel Hill, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, of unknown causes.

Note: William had 2 Dau.'s, Mary, who married Hiram Hanshaw & Ann, who married Levi Hanshaw {Brothers}. Margaret married the oldest brother of the two, Nicholas.
