Jordan McCormick was born in 1802 in Buckingham County, Virginia, the son of John and Nancy McCormick. His father, John, passed away sometime before 1807. Nancy moved to Kanawha County, VIrginia (now West Virginia) before 1809. He married Sarah Hill about 1830 or 1831. He passed away 20 Sep 1859.
