Biography
John was born 27 Dec 1794 in South Carolina. Son of Jonathan Watson Sr. and Elizabeth McCown He passed away 28 May 1865 in South Carolina.
John McCown married Mary Chamblee around 1816 most likely in South Carolina.
Jonathan Watson Sr. stated in his will 23 July 1818 to make John and Nancy McCown equal with his other children. On that same date Elizabeth McCown renounced all claim in the estate to her two children: John and Nancy McCown. Elizabeth was sister of Nancy McCowen, wife of Jonathan Watson Sr.[1]
