World War I Selective Service System Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918. Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Admi Note:
William Martin Davis McCoy was my grandmother Ethel Lee McCoy Rowans brother. He was Uncle Martin to me and when we went to Leakey Texas to visit I always saw him and Aunt Nettie, his wife. Nettie Rowan McCoy was my grandfather Barney Lee Rowans sister. This made my relation even closer to their children, double cousins... Uncle Martin served the Leakey Texas community as constable for 30 years and was well thought of in the community. He maintained law and order in his quiet stern manner as I remember. He also was the proprietor of a service station and grocery store. He also ran a cedar yard and had several rental properties. Good memories. Mayme Gail Priddy-Byler
