Biography

Biddy (McGarry) Quinn was born in Ireland.

Bridget McGarry was the wife of Hugh Quinn. The notes section of the birth records of daughters Catherine and Ellen both say Bridget=Biddy, hence the preferred name.

Bridget and Hugh had at least seven children: Mary, born 1837; Catherine, born 1840; Ellen, born 1849; Patrick, born 1852; Bridget Quinn O'Hara, 1854-1938; Margaret, born 1857; and, Charles, born 1858.

She died in Ballymena, County Antrim, Ireland in 1894.^[1]

Research Note

There is a death record for Bridget Quinn, widow, age 81 on 4 December 1894, at Caherty, Ballyclug, County Antrim (registration district Ballymena). This would give a birth year of 1813. Death was recorded by son John Quinn.^[2]
