William Forrest McGee Jr. May 8, 1940 Bill went to his Heavenly home April 18th after a severe brain injury caused by a fall. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all! Bill was born in Fayetteville, Tennessee, May 8, 1940, to Helan Starkey McGee and William Forrest McGee. Bill and his mother moved to Texas when he was a toddler. He attended John T. White School and graduated from Handley High School in 1958. Bill earned his civil engineering degree at Arlington State College in 1963. He worked several jobs in the Ft. Worth/ Dallas region, but moved to OKC in 1970 with Mobil Oil. In OKC Bill worked for Dolese Concrete for 23 years. He recently retired at age 74 from Star Building, after 16 years there. Bill loved to travel and enjoyed seeing Gods beautiful creation. He loved to work hard and lived an intentional, purposeful life. Bill was a follower of Christ, a man of good character. He was an active member of Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City since 1971. He loved teaching Sunday School and loved the Word of God. He was an admired leader in Joy Group (Just Older Youth). Bill loved his country and was so grateful for men who built this country and those who served in protecting it. Bill married Melita McCauley McGee in 1966. They had three children and four Grandchildren: Forrest McGee and wife Shauna and children – Mallee, Canyon, Emerson, and McCauley of Edmond, OK; Matt McGee of Ninnekah, OK; and Celeste McGee of Bangkok, Thailand. Bill was so proud of his family and loved them dearly. Bill wrote in his life sketch, “We are thankful the Lord Jesus has shown mercy and grace to us in directing our paths and providing our every need in our pilgrimage here on earth.
