Robert 'Anderson' McGuire was born on November 2, 1878, in Secondcreek, Monroe County, West Virginia.[1] He was the son of Charles McGuire and Elizabeth Lowry. At age 1, in 1880, he was in his parent's home in Second Creek, Monroe County, West Virginia, along with 5 of his siblings.[2]
At age 23, He married Nora Christine Miller (1886-1973) on February 26, 1902, in Sweet Springs District, Monroe County, West Virginia.[3] They had 8 Childern.
He and Nora made their home in Sweet Srings, Monroe County, West Virginia, in 1910, where he was a Farmer. By this time they had Zimmey M-6, Charles H-4, and Evert M-2.[5]
He registered for the draft in WWI in 1918, in Monroe County, West Virginia.[6] He gave a description of himself as Married, Farmer, age 40, living in Gap Mills, Monroe County, West Virginia, with a physical discription of tall, slinder, with Gray Eyes, and Dark Hair.
He and Nora made their home in Gap Mills, Monroe County, West Virginia, in 1920, he was working as a Laborer out of the home, and she was taking care of the home and raising the children, Myrtle-16, Herbert-14, Marshall-12, Lacy-8, Paul-4, and Zella-2.[7]
He and Nora divorced ca 1923. Nora remarried ""William Taylor Sarver.
He married Alberta A. Morris (1903-1933) on May 30, 1924 in Monroe County, West Virginia.[8] They had 2 children.

He and Alberta lived on Valley Road, Sweet Springs, Monroe County, West Virginia in 1930, where he worked as Laborer on Farms, and she was taking care of the home and their 2 children.[9]
He died on July 24, 1943, at the age of 64, in Gap Mills, Monroe County, West Virginia, and was buried in the Carmel Cemetery.[1]
