Biography

John Michael McGuire was born in 1886 in the Milton area.^[1] He was the son of Patrick McGuire and Caroline Mary Walsh.

He married Elsie May Carter at the Kangaroo Valley Catholic Church on the 19th of August 1912.^[2][3][4]

John and Elsie had a dairy farm in the Casino district, NSW.^[5][6]

He died in the Casino district on the 10th of December, 1949, and was buried in the Catholic portion of the Casino cemetery on the 12th of December.^[7][8][9]

   The marriage of Mr. J. M. McGuire and Miss Elsie Carter was celebrated at the Kangaroo Valley Roman Catholic Church on Monday. The Rev. Fr. Sheridan performed the ceremony, and there was a large attendance of guests, the church being crowded. The breakfast was at the Pioneer Hotel.
