Biography
Douglas Maria Theresa McKain was born on May 20, 1817 in Cheadle, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom, daughter of William Henry McKAIN (1785–~1837) and Douglas Mary Dunsmore (~1789–1873).
Douglas (22) married John Ward Alcock (26) (born on September 17, 1812 in Cheadle; son of Elizabeth Alcock) on May 20, 1839 in Cheadle. Their son was Thomas Alcock (1849–1906).
Douglas died in February, 1894 in New Zealand, aged 76.
In the 1851 census Douglas (age 33) was the wife of John Alcock on New Street, Cheadle, Staffordshire, England.[1]
