Biography
Robert McLellan was born on 30 September 1782 in Gorham, Maine. His parents were Thomas McLellan and Jane (Patterson) McLellan[1].
He married Rebecca Patten on 18 March 1813 in Lewiston, Maine[2]. They had seven children[3]:
1. Actor P., born 28 Dec 1813; married Lucinda Decker
2. Augusta, born 2 Aug 1816; married 1st Seman Foster, 2nd Thomas Hooper
3. Caroline O., born 25 Dec 1818; married Joseph Hale
4. Francis H., born 27 Aug 1821; married Almira Hutchinson
5. Mary E., born 19 Oct 1824; married William Goll
6. Paulina P., born 12 Sep 1827
7. Charles R., born 20 May 1830; married Julia Coffin
Robert served in the War of 1812, commanding a company of light infantry under Colonel Burbank[4]. He passed away on 28 November 1830 in Gorham[5] and is buried in Eastern Cemetery.
