Ralph served in WW I with the 112th Field Artillery Regiment (New Jersey National Guard), assigned to the 29th Infantry Division. [2] The 112th saw action in Meuse-Argonne and Alsace.
Ralph married 10 Sep 1922 in Manhattan, New York to Marie Gertrude Hamner, daughter of Frank Hamner and Mary Gertrude Higgins. [3] Ralph and Marie resided in the Bronx in 1930, but had no surviving children by then. [4] Their only known child was:
Edward Francis, b. 07 Dec 1936, d. 20 Dec 1936 [5]
Ralph died 02 Aug 1938 in Bronx, New York at the age of 45, [6] and was buried in (Old) St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx. [7]
