Jennet was born in 1763. It is not known whether Jennet was born in either North Carolina or in Scotland. She was the daughter of John McTaggart and Mary (Unknown) McTaggart.[1]
Jennet died at the age of about 67 after 1830 in Burke, North Carolina, USA.[1]

This indenture made this day of in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and sixteen by and between Thomas McTarggert John McTarggert and Jannot McTarggert his wife of the County of Burke John Willson and Margrat Wilson his wife Mary McTarggert of the County of Rutherford and State of North Carolina James Hogg Thoms Hogg Abner loots ? and Elisabeth loots his? of Yorke District and State of South Carolina of one part and Jane McNeelly of the County of Rutherford and state of North Carolina of the other part witnesseth that whereas in and by the deceasing of John McTarggert of the County of Burke and State of North Carolina the said Thomas McTarggert John McGalliard and Jannot his wife John Wilson and Marggret his wife Mary McTarggert James Hogge Thomas Hogge Abert loots and Elisabeth his wife to together with the said Jane McNeelly becam Joint Heirs of the Real Estate of the said John McTarggert deseced and for the ___& Equitable division of the aforesaid Estate of inheritance hath amicably divided the same infursum? whereof the said Thomas McTarggart John McGalliard and Jannet his wife John Wilson and Margrat his wife Mary McTarggart James Hogg Thomas Hogg Albert loots and Elisabeth his iwfe Hath given granted ____ suroered confirmed and by these present doth give grand relen senaerd confirm and forever Quit Claim unto the said Jane McNeely her heirs and assigns forever all that ___parcel or tract of land after mentioned situate lying and being in the County of Burke and State of North Carolina and one the South of the Catawba river and on both sids of sandy Run in the East id of the Last forke of Hunting Creek and bounded by George Killian land in the North and by John Harian on the South and West Beginning at the post oake in Killian line eight poles East of the East Fork of Hunting Creek running with the said line North Fiftytwo Degrees East Eighty one poles to a Willow oake in East sid of the m_____branch then North twentysever degrees East one hundred and forty Nine poles to a white oak in the bank of sandy Run Killions South East corner thence East seventy Nine poles to a pine thence South two Hundered and seventeen poles crossing the Run to a pile in the line of erens first survey then with his line West two Hundred and ten poles to a Hickory in the East Bank of the creek then North with Killians line 12 poles to the Beginning containing two Hundred acres __ by patent being dated the 20th day of Sepember 1779 No. 97 to the said John Harein and his heirs to James Brittain the 30th day of Octover 1765 and from him to Willism Scott and from him to the said John McTaggart is of said maynore fully appear and all woods Ways waters and water courses and the ___ __________ Rents pay and profits of the aforesaid land and premises with every the appertances To have and to hold to her the said Jane McNeely her heirs and assibns forever and the said Thomas McTaggart John McGalliard and Jannet his wife John Wilsn and Margret his wife Mary McTaggart James Hogg Thomas Hogg Abern lootz and Elisabeth his wife far ___ and their heirs the aforesaid land premises with every the appertences whatsoever doth surround and quit claim to the said Jane McNeely her heirs and assigns forever and the said Thjomas McTaggart John McGalliard and Jannet his wife John Wilson and Margrat his wife Mary McTaggert James Hogg Aber loots and Elisabeth his wife will and shall warrant and defend the aforesaid land and premises with the appertances to the said Jane McNeelly her heirs and assigns forever isfaresaid their being joint heirs doth in equity and justice doth ___

Personally appeared before me J.W. Happoldt - Clerk of the Superior Court of Burke County Samuel McNeely who being by me duly sworn deposes and says that he is well acquainted with the hand writing of John McNeely having often seen him write and that the signature of said John McNeely as subscrbing witness to the annexed deed of conbeyance is gunuine in his own proper handwriting that the said John McNeely and Samuel Wilson the other subscribing witness to said deed are both dead Samuel McNeely
