Biography

Edmund B McGinnis was born 1 Mar 1775 in Frederick County, Virginia. He was the son of James Allen McGinnis and Sarah Caudy Davis. Edmund's father is a veteran of the American Revolutionary War and is honored by the Daughters of the American Revolution as DAR Ancestor#A076996. Applications for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the descendants Edmund McGinnis and his wife, Sarah Bryan. Descendants of this family are eligible to join the National Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution. [1]

Edmund married Sarah Bryan on 23 Jun 1795 in Rockingham County, Virginia.[2] Their children:

  3. Allen A McGinnis (1799–1884)
  4. Elizabeth Mcginnis (1800–Deceased)
  5. Mary Lavina Mcginnis (1803–Deceased)

  8. Edmund B McGinnis (1811-1885)
  9. Elizabeth A (McGinnis) Wright (1815-1901)
