Mary (Mckean) Clarricoates was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)

Mary was born in 1856, the daughter of John McKean and Mary Anne McIntyre.^[1]

In 1874, Mary John McKean married William Alfred Clarricoates.^[2]

She passed away in 1944, aged 86.^[3]

Mary is buried in Durham Ox cemetery. ^[4]

'William McKean's sister Mary Jane Mc Kean is in fact Mary John Mc Kean and is my maternal great grandmother.( The middle name John was believed to be in memory of a brother who had died at a young age) She married William Clarricoats/Clarricoates in 1875 at Tarnagulla. They then moved north to Gladfield, west of Pyramid Hill. William Mc Kean's mother was Mary Ann Campbell Mc Intyre
