Biography

Anne (Menegaux) Maillard was a Huguenot emigrant (1540-1790).

Anne-Marie was born abt 1745 to Jean Frederic and Ann Geney Menegaux.

Immigration

She immigrated with her family from the Duchy of Wurtemburg to Nova Scotia in 1752 aboard the ship Speedwell. She was the youngest child to survive while her parents, a brother, and two sisters died on the voyage or after arrival at Halifax. She married Jean Maillard on 9 September 1766.[1]
