- Frederick was born about 1834, the son of Frederick Meredith and Polly Brooks, and passed away after Jan 1913.

| Grandpa Merideth of Reserve, Injured |
- Grandpa Merideth of Reserve, Injured [1]
- White [sic] Grandpa Merideth, who makes his home with his daughter, Mrs. Phillips in the southeast part of Reserve, was returning from town on Monday morning about 9 o'clock, where he had been on an errand, he slipped on the icy sidewalk near Birkett's drug store and fractured the femer [sic] bone at the hip joint. Sam Stewart and A. G. Huff were in Stewart's office across the street when the old gentleman fell and brought him into Stewart's office and called Dr. Gillispie, who, upon examination pronounced it a fracture as above stated. He was later taken to the Phillips home where the doctor reduced the fracture and the patient is getting along as well as could be expected for one so advanced in years. Grandpa Merideth is 81 years old.
- Note: He was actually about 78 years old in Jan 1913.

Died after 13 January 1913 - He is mentioned along with his daughter Cordelia in a newspaper article as critically ill. I've attached an image of the article. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate any mention of him or his condition after that date.
