- Grayson County News-Gazette, Leitchfield, Kentucky:
- Ernest Frederick Meredith, 83, a blacksmith with the Rohm and Haas Company of Louisville, died January 9, 1984 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
- He was born September 23, 1900 in Edmonson County, the son of Rance Meredith and Frances Goff Meredith.
- He was the husband of Clella Barks Meredith, who preceded him in death, and was a member of Washington-Meredith Lodge 355 F & AM, Brownsville.
- Survivors include threee daughters, Wanda Richards and Virginia Trimm, both of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Sherry Miller, of Louisville, KY; four sons: Fred Meredith of Wilton, Calif., Carlos Meredith, of Louisville, John Meredith, of Kansas and Glen Meredith, of Stllersburg, Ind.; three sisters: Josie Meredith, of Bee Springs, Mattie Vincent and Jewell Norene, both of Leitchfield; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
- Funeral services were held January 11, 1984, at Rogers Funeral Home in Clarkson by the Rev. Jim Carpenter, with interment in the Bee Springs Cemetery.
