J. Edward Meredith, 77, died at 1:30 p.m. June 24, 2004, at his Bee Spring home. The Edmonson County native was a retired construction worker, a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Washington Meredith Lodge No. 355 F&AM and New Salem General Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Charlie and Millie Meredith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilmer Ray Meredith, and a sister, Edna Mae Meredith. / Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Gravil Funeral Home, with burial in John Stevenson Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Naomi Carroll Meredith; two brothers, Ivan Oneal Meredith of Tampa, Fla., and Max Howard Meredith of Paoli, Ind.; a sister, Jewell Johnson of Louisville; a son, Lanney Meredith of Greenville; a daughter, Evon Bryant of Bowling Green; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services for 77-year-old J. Edward Meredith of Bee Spring will be Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Gravil Funeral Home in Brownsville. Burial will be in the John Stevenson Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 o'clock tomorrow (Saturday) at the funeral home.
Survivors include: His wife: Naomi Carroll Meredith One son: Lanney Meredith of Greenville / One daughter: Evon Bryant of Bowling Green / Two brothers: Ivan Oneal Meredith of Florida and Max Howard Meredith of Indiana / One sister: Jewell Johnson of Louisville And 3 grandchildren.
