Jack A. Meredith, 87, of Bee Spring, died at 1:03 p.m. March 26, 2010, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.[1]
The Edmonson County native was a retired tank and heavy truck mechanic at Fort Knox and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a son of the late Louis Meredith and Eva Carroll Meredith. He was preceded in death by a son, Nicky Meredith; two sisters, Noval Vincent and Delphia Duvall; and four brothers, Sherman Meredith, Moman Meredith, Laymon “Sam” Meredith and Nelson Meredith.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday at New Home General Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. today at Gravil Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Poteet Meredith; two sons, Lancie Meredith and his fiance, Vickie, of Elizabethtown, and Gary Meredith and his wife, Rhonda, of Sunny Isles, Fla.; a daughter, Jill Vincent and her husband, Thomas, of Brownsville; three grandchildren, Georgeanna Gibson, Brett Meredith and Andrea Meredith; and a great-granddaughter, Abigail Gibson.
