Timothy Meriam was born at Concord, Massachusetts on September 29, 1757, son of Josiah and Lydia (Wheeler) Meriam.[1][2][3]
He bought land with a house and barn at Framingham on April 9, 1791. He was a physician and practiced medicine here. He later moved to the property left by his father-in-law Job Darling at his death. He remained there until he drowned in 1833, at the age of 76. [2][4]
Military
Revolutionary War Pension: Meriam Timothy, [2184] Framingham: Captain Brown's company, Col. Josiah Whitney's regiment. Served as:
1775: April 19: Joined his company at Concord and was engaged in the battle at Concord Bridge. [6]
1776: March: He proceeded to Roxbury and entered the company of Captain Alisha Brown, Colonel Josiah Whitney's Regiment of the Massachusetts line. Served 7 months at Nantasket Island. [6]
He was with a party of 25 men who captured a British boat and cargo bound for Boston. [6]
1776: November 27: discharged and returned to Concord. [6]
Joined the Concord company of Captain Isaac Woods, in protection of the company stores. Corporal 10 months. [6]
1778: June. Re-enlisted under Captain Richardson, proceeding to White Plains where they were attached to Colonel Poor. They proceeded to West Point for seven months 'fatigue duty'. [6]
Family
Timothy married Huldah Darling. [3][4] Their marriage took place on June 30, 1785 and was performed by Elder Abner Ballou. The marriage was recorded at Cumberland, Rhode Island on July 12, 1785, by town clerk Pardon Sayles. [7] Huldah was born at Bellingham, Massachusetts on September 11, 1766, daughter of Job and Margery (Cook) Darling. [8][2]
He drowned at Framingham, Massachusetts on September 17, 1833 [9][10][2][4]
His will was written in January, 1828. In it he names:[10]

Mary Hall submitted testimony to the court that her father Timothy died on September 17, 1833. [10]
Joseph was name executor, but declined. On October 15, 1833, the heirs including Huldah, Joseph, Galen and Rosaline Merriam, Hannah Fisher and Jesse Hall, submitted a request to the court to have Moses Edgell be appointed administrator. [10]
At inventory on October 15, 1833, his real estate and meeting house seat were assessed at $1908.00 and his personal property was valued at $627.15. [10]

Mary/Polly born at Bellingham on August 23, 1788 [8]; married Jesse Hall of Cambridge on September 1, 1830. [9][2][4]

Joseph born on November 23, 1793; died August 24, 1866; married Alice Thayer of Franklin. [9][2]
Galen (twin) born on December 5, 1797 [9]; died June 30, 1876; married Silence (Baxter) Swift at Boston on August 7, 1828. [2][4]
Hannah (twin) born on December 5, 1797; married on December 18, 1817, Captain Joseph [9] Fisher of Baltimore. She was lost at sea in October, 1841. [2][4]
Rosaline Augusta born on November 14, 1805; married Elbridge M. Jones on June 3, 1840. [9][2][4]
